Meet Cassi
Cassi is a poet, writer, and educator living in Northern California. She works with writers of all ages, abilities, and disabilities.
About Cassi
Cassi’s writing takes her everywhere.
- Cassi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Comparative Literature from University of California, Berkeley, and a teaching credential in Special Education from San Francisco State University.
- She is an Amherst Writers and Artists affiliate. Although she is certified through AWA for leading groups with writers who have experienced trauma, groups do not focus on exploring trauma.
- Cassi is not a licensed counselor. This is a writing group, not a therapy group. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
- In 2022, she attended The Yeats International Summer School through a fellowship through the Tuleburg Press and the Sligo Scholars Program in Sligo, Ireland. She studied at the Institute of Language and Culture in Costa Rica.

I like Cassi because of her promptness and creative energy…The prompts help us to be more creative in short amounts of time,

The group is quite supportive so I feel comfortable sharing…she guides the class gently, but with her experience as an author

Cassi is an extraordinary leader. She inspires confidence in new writers like myself. Her love for, and enthusiasm, non-judgemental attitude, her helpfulness and way of introducing writing techniques, etc are very effective. There is not criticism; only observations.
