Cassi is a poet, writer, and educator living in Northern California. She works with writers of all ages, abilities, and disabilities.
About Cassi


Cassi’s writing takes her everywhere.

- Cassi W. Nesmith has received notable recognition for her work. Her poetry has been featured in various publications, including, “The Smalls,” “Center of Attention: Poems on Stockton and San Joaquin,” “The Fire Within: Labor, Art, and the Human Spirit,” and “Poet’s Espresso Review.” She self-published the ‘zine, “Tattle and Play.” She studied Comparative Literature with an emphasis in English and Spanish poetry at the University of California, Berkeley.
- She is an Amherst Writers and Artists affiliate. Although she is certified through AWA for leading groups with writers who have experienced trauma, groups do not focus on exploring trauma.
- Cassi is a Writer in Residence at Tuleburg Press.
- In 2022, she attended The Yeats International Summer School through a fellowship through the Tuleburg Press and the Sligo Scholars Program in Sligo, Ireland. She studied at the Institute of Language and Culture in Costa Rica.
